Hi, my name is Mike and I’m from Fit2Run.
This is typical of two different types of treadmill. In this case, they’re the same brand, but that’s not relevant. What’s relevant is the physical dimension of the running belt.
Now, if you are tall, you need a bigger treadmill because you’re running, your stride is larger.
Shorter people can use smaller treadmills, but if you are a jogger, even a tall person can sometimes use a smaller treadmill.
What it comes down to is what you want to use the treadmill for. The weight ratio is better on the large treadmill than the small treadmill; however, the speeds will be similar.
The suspension is different on the large treadmill than the small treadmill and the thing about the large treadmill is it can run longer and faster. The smaller treadmill, you must turn it off more frequently to allow it to cool down. If you are going to be doing distance, go for a large treadmill always.
The other thing is your personal stride. You need to look at how wide the lengths go when you are running. If you are running, this may be too short for you, even a short person.
When you run, you cannot run in a straight line, it’s very hard, you tend to sway. This is a wider treadmill and it allows for that. Then longer, you get the stride length.
If you’re running bigger treadmill, if you’re only going to be walking or light jogging, small treadmill.
But really, you may need to have some advice for it, which you can get that from calling or emailing us at Fit2Run
